Keeping Eyes Closed

When the tear film is inadequate or of poor quality, the eyes and the tissues around the eye are not properly lubricated. A person may cope with eyes that are not properly lubricated by keeping them closed constantly.

For some, the slightest breeze, such as when we walk with our eyes opened or open a door, can exacerbate pain and discomfort.

Blinking even once or the slightest breeze can exacerbate mild and extreme symptoms of conjunctivolchalasis.

Some people cope by keeping their eyes closed all the time, which gives some relief, but also has an enormous impact on their quality of life and ability to function normally.
