Epilating Lashes

When colliding lashes from the upper and lower lids cause epiphora or lagophthalmos, the simple treatment is plucking out the eye lashes with tweezers. This is best done by a physician to avoid poking yourself in the eye with tweezers, unless you are sure you have a very steady hand and a good magnifying mirror. If you choose to epilate your lashes yourself, be sure the tweezers you use are clean and sterilized.

Sometimes lashes need to be removed, or epilated, permanently. This should be done by an ophthalmologist who specializes in the procedure.
