Patient Advocate Foundation

Patient Advocate Foundation is a national non-profit organization that serves as an active liaison between the patient and their insurer, employer, and/or creditors to resolve insurance, job retention, and/or debt crisis matters relative to their diagnosis, through case managers, doctors, and attorneys. Patient Advocate Foundation seeks to safeguard patients through effective mediation, assuring access to care, maintenance of employment, and preservation of their financial stability.

Co-Pay Relief

Patient Advocate Foundation’s Co-Pay Relief Program (CPR) provides financial assistance to financially and medically qualified patients, including those insured through federally administered health plans such as Medicare, for co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles required by a patient’s insurer, for pharmaceutical treatments and/or prescription medications prescribed to treat and/or manage their disease.

National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD)

NORD is a non-profit organization established in 1983 to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by rare diseases. It provides information on financial and medication assistance programs, health insurance, Medicare/Medicaid programs, and links to additional online resources.

NORD also provides Patient Assistance Programs to help patients gain access to needed treatments. These programs, which vary from time to time, are listed on the NORD website.
