Pain Medications

Sometimes conjunctivochalasis is misdiagnosed as ocular neuropathy, and pain medications are prescribed to ease discomfort. Although the pain medications may work, they do not address the underlying condition which, if left untreated, can exacerbate Dry Eye symptoms and advance the course of the disease, or any number of co-morbidities.

Sometimes pain medications, OTC or prescription, are prescribed after surgery. Follow your doctors instructions when taking any pain medications.
