Aqueous tear deficiency treatments aim to add moisture, prevent tears from evaporating or draining through the tear ducts, or increase aqueous tear production. Often therapies are prescribed in combination because, with aqueous tear deficiency, other co-morbidities are often present. The inflammatory components of the disease may require supplemental treatment.
